Bryan Loy is the singer and lead guitarist for Stone Age Rhapsody. He formed the band with drummer Gabe De Leon and bassist Alex Lewis in highschool, and from then on they have been performing great music. The bands creative process starts with an idea of a riff, chord progress, or series of lyrics being brought to a group rehearsal. From there it’s a natural progression; the band jams out like high schoolers in a basement or garage until the lyrics and other song properties are completed. They also have adapted with some new technology, having a google doc so when the creative juices are flowing they are able to write it down for all of the members to see.
Bryan loves being able to create music with other people, collaborating with others to make new content and make something worthwhile. The subject matter of their songs cover social and political issues, as well as personal issues. They have a song named “Sacrifice” that talks about the struggles of man vs the environment, and how the current generation must make sacrifices to save the future of our planet. That is what Bryan wants to bring to the York community, great music and awareness of important issues, making our community a better place.
